Marta’s family belongs to the Tzotzil indigenous group from Chiapas, where they proudly preserve their traditional clothing, language and community traditions. Marta grew up raising sheep, processing the wool, and turning it into cloth for utilitarian and decorative purposes. Now, she is a businesswoman who, together with her husband Juan, makes and sells gorgeous stuffed animals and tapestries. A mother of three young children, Marta does it all!

The López López family sells in markets all over the area, including the Forever Spring Market in Bucerías, the Riviera Farmers Market in Nuevo Vallarta, & the Friday market in Sayulita.
