PLANNING A GET WITH HC
For high school teachers, experiential education trip leaders, professors, study abroad professionals, or anyone who is looking to plan an experiential education trip in Mexico, this page will provide you with all of the information that you need to begin working with HC to build your own Global Engagement Trip.
Planning international travel with students can be daunting, and that’s where we come in. Through our connections throughout Latin America, and our knowledge of the areas in which we work, we take care of all planning and logistics for you. Our strength is in crafting balanced, powerful, and enjoyable itineraries in a variety of subject areas. Peruse the sample trip themes below, or feel free to suggest your own.
In the past, we’ve planned trips with professors, study abroad faculty, motivated college students, and nonprofit leaders, for anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks. We also coordinate longer term experiential education experiences, such as January term or Maymester courses. Through these experiences, we know how to work with university administration to ensure that our trips meet their standards for international travel. With our General Liability insurance, International Health coverage for all participants, and past work with schools like Tulane, Tufts, UCSD, and more, we are equipped to meet universities’ risk management standards.
In addition to working with you to create an educational and transformative itinerary, we offer a range of options for housing, transportation, and meals. You can decide between local or private transportation, as well as hostel-style, mid-range, or high-end accommodations, based on preferences and budget. While we usually include all meals as part of the experience, some groups like to have the option to cook or eat on their own for some of their meals. Lastly, trips can be solely experiential education-based, or can include a volunteer component, which we coordinate with one of our partner organizations. To see how these preferences will affect the cost of your trip, check out our GET Pricing Calculator to get an estimate.
Reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by filling out this contact form. From there, we’ll set up a call to discuss your ideas, and then provide a customized sample itinerary and budget based on your group. We’ll continue to work with you until the itinerary is exactly as you envisioned, and will step by step help you bring your trip to life.
