Our tour of three artisans in Bucerias was completely delightful from start to finish. This is exactly the kind of tourism that I would like to do more of in the future. By connecting with real people and hearing their stories, the world suddenly becomes smaller as we see that we are all in this life together. We were so impressed by the simplicity and beauty of the skills handed down through generations and by the way in which all three artisans had worked relentlessly to make a better life for generations of family members. I highly recommend this type of tour to anyone interested in enjoying Mexico while learning.

Every single visitor to the Banderas Bay should take the opportunity to get to know the heart and soul of these entrepreneurs. It’s a side of Mexico you will not soon forget.

If you have the least bit of interest in seeing Mexico beyond the tourist trinket markets and ATV excursions, then you must do an Investours [now Human Connections] excursion. Seriously. We have been coming to Bucerias for 5 years and have done many of the available activities around Puerto Vallarta and the Bay of Banderas. But our few hours with Investours [Human Connections] gave us much deeper insight into the lives of typical people and allowed us to directly contribute to local entrepreneurs trying to get their businesses going. It will certainly be one of the travel experiences that stays with us long after the smell of the sea air has faded and the Mexican trinkets are gathering dust in storage.

We spent a very nice morning visiting a number of artisans around Bucerias. It is a great way to get to know some of the locals and to share a small piece of their lives while organically supporting and empowering their entrepreneurship. The tour was fun, well run, interactive and informative. Elly and Investours [now Human Connections] provide a wonderful service to the community and their passion for bringing people together to share the local culture is inspiring. Highly recommended!!

Once in a while you come across something so exciting that you want to share it with all of your friends ASAP…this is that thing! My wife and I, as well as our 9 year old son, had the privilege of being invited into the lives of 3 wonderful ladies. These women want nothing more than to give their families a better life, but they need a little help to get there. Investours is the means by which their dreams can be achieved. The great thing about taking part in one of their tours is that not only do you get to play a small role in the lives of locals, but more importantly you are taught important life lessons on hard work, perseverance and resiliency.

We recently participated in a guided tour of Puerto Vallarta with my sons (6 and 4) and my 3 nieces (8,6 and 3). Ellie from Investours [now Human Connections] had arranged a kid-friendly tour for us which took us to a Bakers house where the kids got to make cookies (and eat them), a pinata makers house where the kids got to help, and finally to alovely local restaurant where the kids made hand pressed tortillas and got to eat the fruits of their labours. All of the women were lovely and Ellie was absolutely amazing. This was a great lesson for our kids to appreciate what they have and to learn more about social responsibility. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area (even if you have young kids!).

This is an experience I highly recommend if you are visiting the Bandaras Bay area. As a group, you walk to a local artisan and listen to what each one does and then see how they do it, along with hearing their personal story of their particular craft. Lunch is provided. Investours [now Human Connections] provides you with a cultural experience not found at the Mall. Go, you will not regret it.

I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting Bucerias if you want to experience the ‘real Mexico’……it is fun and very inspiring, especially for those who have kids/teenagers that need to see a different slice of life.
